What It Does
Apprendre Franco-fun! needed its partners to bring in new students. Each partner gets a referral link. A family that uses it fills in a short form, and the student then moves through three stages: Invited, Assessment Completed and Registered. The partner sees all of it on their dashboard.
Four Kinds of Partner
The reward depends on who the partner is. Schools and organizations choose a fundraising goal, such as playground equipment or classroom technology, and fill it one registered student at a time. Teachers earn a fixed amount per successful referral. Families earn free French classes. The whole site works in English and French.
One Place That Moves a Student
Only one service function can move a student to the next stage, and it only moves forward, one step at a time. The partner dashboard, the API and the Django admin all go through it, so the numbers never disagree. Reaching Registered also sends the partner a welcome email.
In Production
The frontend is React and TypeScript with TanStack Query and Tailwind. The backend is Django REST Framework on PostgreSQL. It runs in Docker on a DigitalOcean server behind Caddy, and Brevo sends the emails. Staff manage partners and payouts in a branded Django admin.

The screens were redrawn from the project source code. Layouts, colours, icons and labels come from the code; names, addresses and amounts are sample data.
